Earl and I keep a working list of all our songs.  It’s called “Master Song List.”  We try to update it about as often as we write or start writing anything new, though it of course gets ignored a lot of the time.  Earl wrote two new songs this week, and that got me looking at the list again.  Below is a sampling of comments that both of us have written for various songs on the list, under a column titled “Status/Notes.”

Hello all!

We are not dead! In fact, we’ve never been aliver.

This has been a good week in music for the LC: a couple of excellent new songs were born and the song list for the next album has been created.  ‘What’s that? A nother album?.’ Yes! We’ll be taking time this summer to work hard on our yet-to-be-titled next EP. You can look for it in the fall. Or, if you just can’t wait to get some Lime Colony goodness, click on the “Buy Now” button over on the right. There you can buy “The Advantage Of Getting There First” (2007) for mere peanuts. The service is called PayPeanuts. Or PayPal. I can’t remember.

The video of our last gig at The Utah is in post-production and will
soon be in our hands. Highlights will be on YouTube. You’ll know when
it’s out.

This week’s public service announcement is about songs.  Though our EP, The Advantage Of Getting There First, with a total of five songs, is all we have officially recorded as far as you or anyone else knows, Lime Colony actually has a fairly substantial backlog of written, or partially written, material.  Here is a glimpse of the numbers, most of which are mutually exclusive:
