Lime Colony on TV (or radio or something)

Monday, October 22nd, 2012

Friends!

This next Tuesday, October 30th, the denizens of Lime Colony will appear LIVE on TradioV’s program Lost In Transition.  The plan is to chat with host  Cecilia Castelli and play some tender acoustic musics.  You can watch and listen to it all unfold at tradiov.com/sf at 11:00 am PST.  Who knows, maybe we’ll even break out a song from the new album (currently in the recording phase).

In other (but related, as you’ll see) news, the recording of our next album is well underway.  We’re going to get our musical hands dirty at The Hearing Booth in the coming weeks and will produce for you what we believe will be one of Lime Colony’s three best albums ever.  Stay focused.

With Everlasting Unconditional Love,

Lime Colony, the band

Do Not Drink This Holiday Cheer, Vol. I

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

It’s that time of year again, when the men of Lime Colony make merry, avoid each other for around three straight weeks of vacation, and try and fail to put extra cinnamon sticks into every beverage imaginable.  And now this year’s time-of-year is double special, because we are sharing with you our first EVER release of a single.  It’s a holiday single.  It was stolen by thieves but partially revived.  It has an A-side and a B-side (I’m not sure which song is which).  It’s for you.

As noted above, you should not drink this particular holiday cheer, but we’ll certainly advise you to download it:

Many thanks to Jennifer, who made it known very early on that she thought a holiday album would be a fantastic idea, and who graciously accepted the compromise of a less epic but just as heartfelt holiday single with an A-side and a B-side.  Unless you are a sour-breathed burglar, we sincerely hope you enjoy listening to this free treat, and we sincerely encourage you to share it with friends and family.

Do Not Drink This Holiday Cheer, Vol. I

Warm Wishes,

Lime Colony

We’ve been podcast.

Thanks to Chad and Ryan at Monkey Hate Gomes for the kind words and nuanced inclusion of an old Lime Colony stand-by* on their podcast premier.

And I’m not just thanking them because they happen to share an apartment with me.  It really was very nice of them to include some Lime Colony samples.  Way nicer than the time they ate all of my ice cream from Trader Joe’s without asking but then replaced it (but then ate the replacement ice cream (which still hurts to think about)).

Also, a quick update for those of you yearning for still more Lime Colony news: we’re working as often as we can on songs for our new album.  If I had to estimate when the project will be complete, I’d say summer ’09.  But don’t let the wait get you down in the dumps!  We should have a show or two before then, where you can get an early sampling of some of our newest songs.

K.I.T.,

Just to prove we’ve actually been recording songs.

For everyone who visits limecolony.com, and even for those who don’t: we have posted a brand new, never before heard in public, song.  We’re calling it ”Houdini,” and you can listen to it at our Myspace page, or our Facebook page.  This song was written and performed by Earl K., engineered by Tim G., and features Siv Lie on violin, and it will appear on our upcoming full-length, which will be available later this year.

Please click on over and give it a listen.  We hope you like it.

See you soon,

Lime Colony
