Do Not Drink This Holiday Cheer, Vol. I

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

It’s that time of year again, when the men of Lime Colony make merry, avoid each other for around three straight weeks of vacation, and try and fail to put extra cinnamon sticks into every beverage imaginable.  And now this year’s time-of-year is double special, because we are sharing with you our first EVER release of a single.  It’s a holiday single.  It was stolen by thieves but partially revived.  It has an A-side and a B-side (I’m not sure which song is which).  It’s for you.

As noted above, you should not drink this particular holiday cheer, but we’ll certainly advise you to download it:

Many thanks to Jennifer, who made it known very early on that she thought a holiday album would be a fantastic idea, and who graciously accepted the compromise of a less epic but just as heartfelt holiday single with an A-side and a B-side.  Unless you are a sour-breathed burglar, we sincerely hope you enjoy listening to this free treat, and we sincerely encourage you to share it with friends and family.

Everyone,

We are pleased to announce that we’ll be playing this Saturday, August 1st at the Beale Street Bar and Grill in San Francisco. The show starts at 8:30, $5 cover, 21+ etc.  So put on your weathered, wrinkly old home-made Lime Colony t-shirt – the one you drew on in puff paint (remember puff paint?) – and make a trip to the conveniently and centrally located Beale Street Bar.  Summary and map follow:

We’ve got a ‘nother show lined up.  That’s right.  7/29.  Check the Upcoming Shows page for details!  Seriously, you cannot miss this all-star line up.  Tell anyone you consider a friend, and some you don’t.  To tide you over, here’s a picture of band member Tim angrily drinking a beer.

Update: Currently Listening To… Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley (Recommended by Dan R.)

Updated Update to the Updated Show… Update

Monday, June 9th, 2008

JJ Schultz has done it again. “It” being the process by which he rocks your face off. And maybe other parts of your anatomy as well. I don’t know for sure, I’m just suggesting that you take a pointed inventory of your extremeties after you meet him. The most recent cause for this limb-removing euphoria? The poster crafted for the upcoming accoustic show:

What more can be said? Its simple, clean design is aggressive, but never dominating, with a hint of mint and overtones of chocolate and love. When it speaks to you, it says, “You have a drinking problem, and you’re going to hide that behind your love of music.” At least, that’s what it says to me…

In the spirit of that, come privately indulge your inner cravings in a public setting amongst friends and family, and give JJ some props for his badass poster.

P.S. If anyone does not have the new badass version of the Lime Colony 4.28.2008 performance DVD, let me or another band member know. They will also render you limbless with joy.
