Thanks to Chad and Ryan at Monkey Hate Gomes for the kind words and nuanced inclusion of an old Lime Colony stand-by* on their podcast premier.

And I’m not just thanking them because they happen to share an apartment with me.  It really was very nice of them to include some Lime Colony samples.  Way nicer than the time they ate all of my ice cream from Trader Joe’s without asking but then replaced it (but then ate the replacement ice cream (which still hurts to think about)).

Also, a quick update for those of you yearning for still more Lime Colony news: we’re working as often as we can on songs for our new album.  If I had to estimate when the project will be complete, I’d say summer ’09.  But don’t let the wait get you down in the dumps!  We should have a show or two before then, where you can get an early sampling of some of our newest songs.

EPs are great, huh?  But sometimes they don’t fill you up, which in many cases, is perfect.  Like a salad.  A musical salad.  With beans (they’re good for your heart).  The album that is presently consuming all or nearly all of our energy (seriously, we come to work in shorts these days and all sport nasty, nasty beards), was going to be an EP.  But then it started getting (way) behind schedule.  We wanted to finish it before Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Festival of Lights/Hail-Earthworms Day, but, as the very existence of this posts indicates, that dream is shot.  SHOT.  Blam.

Anyway, the New Album (Untitled), is going to be a bona fide feature-length album (or as some would say, alblum).  Crazy.  Also, as part of this new thing, we’re going to be trying to get back in the public arena – holding fund-raising carwashes and bake sales and trying to make live music.  This means several things, but I’ll let you figure them out on your own.

Stale chocolate covered raisins are almost as good as fresh ones.  But if you eat too many, you’ll want to vomit.  Also, you may be attacked by giant ants, as is happening in the picture below.

Happy Hunting,

Hello all!

We are not dead! In fact, we’ve never been aliver.

This has been a good week in music for the LC: a couple of excellent new songs were born and the song list for the next album has been created.  ‘What’s that? A nother album?.’ Yes! We’ll be taking time this summer to work hard on our yet-to-be-titled next EP. You can look for it in the fall. Or, if you just can’t wait to get some Lime Colony goodness, click on the “Buy Now” button over on the right. There you can buy “The Advantage Of Getting There First” (2007) for mere peanuts. The service is called PayPeanuts. Or PayPal. I can’t remember.

The video of our last gig at The Utah is in post-production and will
soon be in our hands. Highlights will be on YouTube. You’ll know when
it’s out.

Anyway, that’s all for now. Happy being.

Yoursest,

Earl
