The Make-Out Room

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

It seems we’re gaining some momentum (p = mv, you guys).  We’re going to be rocking out with our _____ out (use your imagination) at The Make-Out Room (3225 22nd St., SF) on February 24th (bolded for visibility to the tl;dr crowd).  It’s a Friday and it’s early (7:30 pm) and it’s cheap(ish) ($8) and you have to be 21+ (sry, kiddos).  What better way to spend your Friday night at the end of February*?  There will be another band as well (though which hasn’t yet been completely nailed down).

So come on out, feel us out, drink a stout, catch a trout**, apply some grout, fake gout, don’t pout, downspout, flout, scout, snout, and*** make out to the sweet sweet music of Lime Colony (and a heretofore undetermined other band/artist).  We’d love to see you there.

Welcome Back, Winter, and Thank You

Friday, December 16th, 2011

It’s been a year or so.  We never caught the one (ones?) who decided to take things illegally from Earl’s home, including a child’s camera, and including what would have been the final versions of our humble pair of winter songs (also a laptop computer).

Yet the unfinished versions survive!!  A year later, it seems they’ve held up pretty well – well enough to be given out for free again, even.  So here: a 100% recycled, paperless, downloadable gift from all the fellas in Lime Colony.

You can even burn ‘em onto a CD, slap a ribbon through the CD’s hole, and turn that ribboned CD into a badass Secret Santa present.

Go on.  Click that link up there and tell grandma and grandpa to crank up the hearing aids.  For Christmas.

Finally, thanks for reading.  To close out this festive update with a real bang, here is a re-link to the video for the second song in last year’s winter offering (Thank You).

Dan Roe made it.  When we saw it, we were blown away.  And we still are.  And we hope you enjoy it once again.

Finally finally, keep checking back here.  We’ll have an update on a January show really soon.

Live At Ex’pression: The Movie

Friday, February 4th, 2011

Friends,

Last month, we helped out the kind folks at Ex’pression College by rocking their ever-loving faces off. The event was video’d and is now on Youtube!

Here’s the link.

Or you can watch it right here.  Thanks everyone! (don’t forget to watch in HD and fullscreen that mother)(also, the link and the video are part of a playlist, so just let it go and it’ll automagically start playing the next song).

Hi there – webcast

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Hello there. The Holidays have been quite busy, what with all of the things to do and people to impress. As such, Lime Colony has been mostly out of commission. But worry not, friends; we have been practicing being good colonists and you will not be disappointed.

So, it is with healthy release of musical tension that we announce that Wednesday, January 19th, we will be playing a 1 hour webcast streamed from the Ex’pression College For Digital Arts (or ECFDA, pronounced ‘ecfda’).  The festivities will begin at 11:30pm at this link.  Additionally, the first 30 people who own brown pants (you’ll want to wear them) to RSVP to limecolony [at] gmail [dot] com will get to attend in actual person((!) (for free(!))), where you’ll no doubt be completely destroyed (in a very good way).  For those who (like us) have no inclination to put on clothes (save socks) after 8pm, crack open a can/bottle/flask/pony-keg of your favorite beverage, pop some corn and turn out the lights.

Until then, please enjoy this video of really fast go-karts (go-carts).
