Lime Colony is a California-based eclectic homespun indie band — a creative oasis for Messrs. Timothy Garcia, Earl Kramer & friends to meld their muses.
Formed in 2006 as a folk duo, they grew into a rock band, shrank, & grew anew. Nearly two decades later and now with a satellite office in Los Angeles, they’re still making music (sometimes).

Lime Colony began independently and irreverently recording and producing music in 2007. Years later, things aren't the same and won't be the same. (Were they ever the same?) Whether or not they learned anything, they’ve still got some songs to sing.

“Through some pandemic introspection and during Tim's relocation to Los Angeles, we rediscovered these neglected tracks which we had spent so much time to craft and record. For some reason we had set them aside, but they were all a few edits and overdubs away from mix-ready. And then for good measure we bundled in a newer song, too. So, it's with a kinda catharsis and maybe even a kinda feeling of redemption that we are finishing and sharing this music with friends and family and whomever else.”

A Lime Colony tradition arose when Tim’s sister asked if the band would ever record some holiday tunes. The resulting single includes a traditional hymn (“Lo”) treated with ultra-bouncy ukelele, stubborn brass & vocal harmonies galore.

Lime Colony's self-titled LP was released in 2010. Containing eleven all-original songs, this record set the foundation for the band’s authentic self-produced style: sparse-and-intimate, building to epic-and-orchestral.
